Time to get LEAN BABY! I have altered my nutrition plan, and boy do I feel good. My body already feels tighter and healthier after one week. Its only small changes so far, but I can definately see things happening. So here is my current meal plan, and how I am going to get myself in great shape for summer ;-)

The weather is starting to warm up...'oh crap' I can hear everyone thinking! It's time to start tightening up those diets, stepping up that exercise routine, and losing those sneaky extra kilo's from winter. I myself have restructured my nutrition and training so that I can really lean out my physique ready for the beach! Let's get rolling....

I am often asked what motivates me, and keeps me motivated year round? Whilst I was out running I started to think about it...how do I continue to be motivated to train and exercise year round, all my life. I started to think what it meant to be FIT. What did fitness mean to me?

I have had the biggest change of mindset over the past few months. It has been incredible. Since the start of this year I have realised I wake up every morning TOTALLY CONTENT with my life, and HAPPY! I am grateful for all things in my life, and appreciate how precious life is. Something finally clicked!

Ok, let me update you on what changes I have made the past two weeks and where I am currently at. So remember this year I decided to do my diet/contest prep myself. Well can I say that this was the best decision I ever made. I love controllong my own world, and I have also learnt to trust myself with my own body. I know I have the knowledge to get anyone into great shape, but it was a matter of believing in myself, that I could get ME into great shape also. In the past few years I have learnt so many lessons and how to make this lifestyle work for me. I can now truly say I love preparing for a show. I am honestly enjoying this experience more than I could ever have imagined. I am going to share with you as much as I can over these next few months so that I can help you also learn the tricks to making this a lifestyle you will love!

Do you find you always have an excuse for not making a training session, for eating the wrong foods etc. Well this is something I no longer do. We will never achieve any of our goals if we continually find excuses to make it ok for not following our plan.

Woohoo! So am super excited and feeling great. Was just a matter of adjusting the food and finding what I enjoy. Marcus and I worked out a 8 meal per day plan which is awesome. I get to eat every 2 hours so that is certainly helping to stop the munchies. I am totally loving fish at the moment. So here is the plan (13.5 weeks out - the dates were different from what I originally thought).

LOL. I had to title this one my naughty weekend, because I was a bad girl. Didn't stop at one cheat meal...had 3!!! We treated ourselves to cold rock icecream on Friday night and from there it was on ! It is a strange thing to go from a super motivated mind set (last 3-4 weeks so focused) to a 'I want to stick to it but can't', in the matter of one day. Even for those of us who seem like we are always 'good' do struggle at times. The past few days I have really struggled to stick to my diet and training, and I can't seem to find a reason as to why. What makes all of those who ultimately achieve their goals successful, is just picking ourselves back up and getting on with it. So yes, even I have bad days. To read more...

So here we are 14 weeks out from the show. Skinfolds and photos done last night (Sunday). Weight has stayed the same but dropped my skins over all 9 sites. Awesome...was hoping for a little higher but happy with that. Training program is staying the same. Think that is working well for me, however with all the work on the website going live I missed a few of my morning cardio sessions . Got all the weight sessions done and the 30 mins cardio after weights.
We have adjusted the eating plan slightly, so lets see what we have come up with. To read more...

Remember this is just a starting point for me. Marcus and I decided for me it was best to hit the weights heavy and hard the first 4 weeks whilst I am still eating lots of food, to make sure I have a good of muscle that I need. I am training heavy and with as much weight as I can possibly get on, whilst maintaining good form of course. We will be taking my skins and progress pics as we go, which will help provide feedback as to how I am progressing. To read more...

After some time, I now have little doubt in my mind that I have been suffering from adrenal fatigue. All the symptoms and causes (to read more check out Oxygen Mag Issue 38, Page 78) lead me to believe that was why I have been not feeling 'right' for this past year. I have seen the doctors and they have not been able to pinpoint anything, but you know when 'you know something is not right'. Two weeks ago I saw a naturopath at a local health food store and she believed the same, so sent me away with a vitamin and mineral plan to get my body back on track. I have been religously been taking them and have TOTALLY cut caffeine out of my diet, and you know what each day I am feeling soooo much better. It is really nice to finally know what has been going wrong with my body so I can get it back on track. To read more...

Ok, so last week went well. First week back at training (got sick ) and felt better every session. Food was all clean, but didn't look at amounts yet. Last night I sat down and worked out my nutrition plan based on the numbers, and boy am I happy about it. Totally structured it the way I wanted it so I can enjoy what I am eating.

My first blog entry is a welcome and a little information on what I will include here. I explain where I am at currently , what my plans are, a look at my training, and a day's nutrition.
